Project Manager — Client Delivery
Automized rips the manual scaffolding out of small and mid-market contractors and PE-backed platforms — rekeying, spreadsheets, tribal knowledge — and replaces it with process and software that actually scale. None of that lands unless the projects delivering it ship: on scope, on time, and without dropping the details that matter. We're hiring a Project Manager to run our client engagements and integration builds end to end — scoping the work, holding the timeline, and keeping clients, engineers, and architects pointed at the same finish line. If you treat a deadline as a promise and genuinely enjoy herding a project across the line, this is the role.
About the Role
On any given week you might be scoping a new integration with a client's controller in the morning, unblocking an engineer at midday, and sending a roofing platform's COO a crisp status update before end of day. A single engagement might span three client systems, two Automized engineers, and an architect's transformation roadmap — your job is to make sure the pieces move in the right order, nothing falls through the cracks, and everyone knows exactly where things stand. You'll own timelines, scope, and communication across every active project. That means turning a transformation plan into a sequenced project schedule, running the standups and client check-ins, tracking dependencies and risks before they become fires, and keeping our project tooling accurate enough that anyone can glance at it and know the truth. We move fast and ship real systems — your structure is what keeps that speed from turning into chaos. You'll work directly with our engineering lead, engineers, and AI Transformation Architects, and you'll be the primary day-to-day point of contact for many of our clients. You'll have real ownership over how projects are run and how we communicate — the cadences, templates, and standards are yours to shape as we grow.
What You'll Do
Own Project Timelines and Scope
- Turn engagement roadmaps and integration scopes into sequenced, realistic project schedules — and hold them
- Track milestones, dependencies, and deadlines across multiple concurrent projects without letting anything slip
- Spot scope creep and risk early, and drive the conversations needed to keep projects on track
Manage Internal and External Stakeholders
- Be the trusted day-to-day point of contact for clients — proactive, clear, and calm under pressure
- Keep engineers, architects, and leadership aligned on priorities, blockers, and status without endless meetings
- Translate between technical detail and client-facing plain language so everyone stays on the same page
Keep the Details Airtight
- Maintain project tooling and documentation accurate enough that anyone can glance at it and know the true state of the work
- Run the standups, check-ins, and follow-ups that turn good intentions into shipped work
- Catch the detail everyone else missed — the mismatched date, the unowned task, the assumption nobody validated
What We're Looking For
- Relentless organization: You track dozens of moving parts across multiple projects and nothing falls through the cracks. Details, dates, and deadlines are where you thrive, not where you struggle
- Stakeholder presence: You can hold a firm line with a client on scope, reassure them when a project hits a bump, and keep internal teams aligned — reading the room and adjusting your approach for each audience
- Proactive communication: You send the update before it's asked for. You'd rather over-communicate status and risk than let anyone wonder where things stand
- Calm under pressure: When a deadline is tight or a project goes sideways, you get organized and drive to a solution instead of getting flustered
- Ownership mindset: You treat a deadline as a promise. When a project is at risk, you own getting it back on track rather than documenting why it slipped
- Project management experience: 2+ years running projects with real deadlines and multiple stakeholders — in agency, consulting, software delivery, or operations
- Comfort with technical work: You don't need to write code, but you can follow a conversation about APIs, data, and systems well enough to sequence the work and flag risks
- Tooling fluency: Fluent in project management and collaboration tools (Asana, Linear, Notion, ClickUp, or similar) and quick to make them the single source of truth
Nice to Have
- Construction or trades exposure: Familiarity with commercial contractors, roofing, or the ERPs and project tools they run (Procore, Foundation, Acculynx, JobNimbus, or similar) — through work or a past client
- Software or integration delivery: You've managed technical projects where engineers were building something, even in a coordinating role
- PE-backed or M&A environment: Experience keeping projects on track through acquisitions, integrations, or rapid growth
- Client services background: Time in a role where the client's experience of the project was your responsibility
- Process building: You've set up the cadences, templates, or tools a team relied on — not just followed someone else's
- AI-assisted workflows: You use AI tools to draft updates, summarize notes, and stay on top of details faster than you could by hand
We help commercial contractors and PE-backed platforms replace the rekeying, spreadsheets, and manual workarounds holding them together with process and software that actually scale.
